The MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce is hosting an all-day conference Tuesday, Sept. 10, to educate business owners and company executives on the Affordable Care Act and the effects the controversial piece of legislation could have on their business.
The ACA, which is being implemented in stages, stands to impact businesses both large and small as they look to make decisions about hiring and employee benefits coverage. The workshop, which will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in New Brunswick, will cover a range of topics meant to guide businesses through the changes ahead.
The day will include two panel discussions featuring experts from local institutions such as Morristown Medical Center, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ and Magnacare. Topics will range from trends in employee wellness and medical technology to alternative health care options.
Douglas Forrester, president of Integrity Health, a health care services company, will present the keynote address, discussing new medical technology and how business owners, CFOs and HR managers can help keep employees healthier.
The workshop will held Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick. Tickets cost $139 and can be purchased online.
