In just a few short days, summer will unofficially be over. Kids will head back to school, and offices will start looking a little less empty on Friday afternoons. If summer left you a little lazy with your networking, September is a great time to get back into the swing of things. Here are a few events coming up the next couple of weeks.

NJ Women's Network will host a networking event at the JuiceTank Innovation Lab in Somerset at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Laurie Leinwand, a certified life coach and counselor, will talk about how women can overcome obstacles, gain clarity about what they want to achieve and take the next step in their careers. Attendees will also have the opportunity to mingle both before and after Leinwand's workshop. You can register for the event online at the group's Meetup page.

The northeast regional chapter of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners is joining with NJ Creatives Network to host an event at 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 in Fairfield focused on how to use podcasts to grow a business. Podcast producer and talk-studio owner Chris Curran will lead the discussion about how to channel your industry expertise into informative podcasts that could build your credibility while cultivating new relationships. Tickets cost $15 for NJAWBO and NJCN members and $20 for non-members. You must register online to attend.

Executive Women of New Jersey is hosting Nine, Dine and Schmooze on Sept. 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Basking Ridge Country Club. It's a golf event, with a little networking tossed in on the side. Attendees can play nine holes or participate in a golf clinic that will teach women what business golf is all about. The evening will end with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets for nine holes plus networking cost $100 for EWNJ members, and $135 for non-members. The golf clinic plus networking costs the same. And if you're not into the golf but still want to mingle, tickets are $35 for members and $60 for guests. To register, visit the EWNJ website.

Happy networking!
