Billtrust announces expanded billing options for its clients

Hamilton-based electronic billing vendor Billtrust has unveiled new telephone-based technology, dubbed interactive voice response, expanding service options available to its customers.

Billtrust said the new technology, in turn, enables its business clients to improve their customer service.

The new IVR system gives customers a phone number by which they can check account balances or make payments, by either electronic fund transfer or credit card, at any time.

The company said once Billtrust IVR is installed, customers call the appropriate phone number to use the system. After entering their account number for verification, they can check their account balance, make a payment or transfer to a service representative.

Billtrust said customers can also use this product to communicate service outages, make collection calls or issue emergency alerts.

Billtrust, a business-to-business provider of outsourced billing products, serves clients such as utilities, food companies and retailers.
