Cassidy Turley beefs up its N.J. ranks

By ,

New-look real estate brokerage Cassidy Turley has added nine new professionals to its ranks, a month after announcing it would consolidate its offices under two roofs.

The company announced today it had hired five brokers, three new property managers and a marketing associate to help its coverage in northern and central New Jersey. The new brokers include associate vice presidents Jamie Greenspan and Linda Hill and associates Kelsey Nakamura, Michael Colvin and Danica Roskos.

Meantime, Cassidy Turley has added Annmarie Mangano, Daniel Schwartz and Jean Leone to help manage a 6.1 million-square-foot management portfolio, along with Carrie Ciaburri as a marketing associate, the firm said in a news release. And Ray Trevisan, the firm's managing principal in New Jersey, said it was "definitely looking to do more hiring" going forward.

"We brought in some young talent, but we're definitely going to be in the market for quality lateral hires in the next 12 months, for sure," Trevisan said, later adding that "recruiting is very competitive" in the industry.

Hill previously served as a vice president at Lee & Associates, though the previous employers of the other new hires were not immediately available. Trevisan said that several of the hires are young professionals and that he was "being very selective in terms of lateral hires."

The expansion at Cassidy Turley comes a month after the firm consolidated its New Jersey operation at offices at Chatham and Edison. The company said it was leaving locations in Rochelle Park, Parsippany and the Somerset section of Franklin, splitting its office and industrial leasing teams between the new sites.

"We're kind of retooling," Trevisan said, noting that the new offices are more attractive to prospective employees. "We're changing the roster and consolidating our operations into what we feel are two more strategic operations than where we were."

The additions also come as other brokerage firms in New Jersey seek to expand or recruit talent from other firms. In May, Jones Lang LaSalle announced the hiring of six new brokers in New Jersey, including four who had been with Cassidy Turley, as part of a 12-person expansion in the Garden Staten, Philadelphia and Long Island, N.Y.
