Holmdel-based digital communications company Vonage announced Tuesday it has been awarded two new patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The first, for managing voice traffic on a data network, relates directly to the company's core business of providing voice-over-IP services, allowing voice calls over a broadband Internet connection. The second relates to automated inventory tracking.
According to the announcement, the patented inventions allow dynamic call quality management and enable network operators to confirm the authorization of devices connected to the network.
