To provide room for future growth, and to facilitate interactions among its teams of professionals, the accounting and consulting firm Bederson will relocate its accounting, auditing and tax divisions from West Orange to new offices in Fairfield by Aug. 1.

Bederson's insolvency and litigation services division will remain at 347 Mt. Pleasant Ave., in West Orange, the company said.

Mark Mazza, managing partner, said moving some of Bederson's practice areas to the new 15,000-square-foot space, at 100 Passaic Ave., in Fairfield, gives the firm a space designed around the need of specialized teams to work closely together.

Mazza said Bederson has grown about 10 percent over the past five years, to about 100 people, and expects to add six or seven more over the next 12 months.

"We're developing talent in niche areas, and as we bring people aboard they develop expertise," he said.

The new offices will facilitate more interaction among professionals in key practice areas, including health care, taxation, audit, nonprofits and housing.

Mazza said the new offices will help Bederson recruit new talent.

"We want to be known as one of the best places to work, and for the young people we hire, it is very competitive out there," he said.
