Cassidy Turley consolidates N.J. offices, will be based in Chatham and Edison

By ,

Real estate brokerage Cassidy Turley is consolidating its three New Jersey offices under new roofs in Chatham and Edison, the firm said, as part of its strategy to expand its foothold in the state's office and industrial markets.

Cassidy Turley will leave its offices in Rochelle Park, Parsippany and the Somerset section of Franklin, according to a news release. The firm will now split its office and industrial leasing teams between the Chatham and Edison sites, respectively.

The Chatham office, at 26 Main St., gives the brokerage a site near major highways and public transportation, offering better access to clients in northern and central New Jersey, the news release said. It's also aimed at fostering collaboration across its different departments, which include brokerage, property management and project development.

In a prepared statement, Cassidy Turley managing director Raymond Trevisan said the firm needs to be "both creative and responsive to clients' needs" in order to compete in today's environment. Trevisan, a former Normandy Real Estate Partners principal, has been heading its New Jersey offices since joining the firm in April 2012.

Since then, Cassidy Turley says it has negotiated some 917,000 square feet in office leases — including an assignment at the newly renovated Center 78 office complex in Warren — and 4.8 million square feet in industrial leases, the news release said. That total marks a 14 percent increase from the previous year.

The firm, which was formed in 2010 by a merger of several brokerages, also has doubled its property management portfolio here to 6.1 million square feet. It has about 60 offices nationwide.
