F1 hiring expands its executive team

By ,

Formula One Grand Prix of America at Port Imperial announced Thursday the appointment of Christopher Pook as special assistant to the chairman.

Pook, who will report to Leo Hindery Jr., is a recognized leader in U.S. motorsports, with decades of experience developing venues and events. According to an announcement, he will provide consultation with respect to all aspects of construction, planning and execution of the Grand Prix of America at Port Imperial race, which has struggled to meet financial and sponsorship targets, leading to the postponement of the planned 2013 race.
