The New Jersey Press Association held its Legislative Correspondent's Club Show Tuesday night in Hamilton, and Gov. Chris Christie took the opportunity to poke fun at the navy blue fleece that became something of a trademark of his after Hurricane Sandy.
The correspondent's club show dates back to 1890 and traditionally features a speech by the sitting governor and any former governors in attendance. None of the state's former governor's showed up last night.
Christie closed his speech by unveiling a seven-minute video featuring cameos by Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, James Carville, Bobby Moynihan and Alec Baldwin, among others. The film centers on the mysterious power of the fleece the governor wore just about everywhere in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
The video had just over 8,500 hits as of this morning. Watch it below:
