Each week in Face Time, NJBIZ editors approximate Chris Christie's mood and facial expressions based on the news.

It was not a beautiful day for the governor when Bono rang Mary Pat and called her beautiful. But the sweetest thing may have been when Christie related the story at a town hall meeting, feigning jealousy when he really seemed full of pride about the U2 singer's attention to his wife.

Rutgers – WINNER
After a coaching scandal brought national embarrassment to the university, Rutgers rebounded with its pick of Eddie Jordan. The new men's basketball coach is an alum with an NBA resume who has been described as the anti-Mike Rice, exactly what the Scarlet Knights need.

Infrastructure – LOSER
It's been starved for attention and funding for decades while officials tried to balance difficult budgets. Now a report puts a $70 billion price tag on the fixes for what's been neglected for the state's water, transportation and power needs.

Marc Ferzan – WINNER
He's called the "storm czar," but he also serves as a post-Sandy Santa. The Christie appointee toiling behind the scenes made his first public appearance last week to announce he'd soon be distributing $37 billion in federal aid. What's not to love?

Air travelers – LOSER
As if flying wasn't already a hassle with the cramped seats and limited food service. Now the sequester-related furloughs of air traffic controllers have created delays at airports across the U.S., adding to the pain.

Contractors – WINNER
They hit the trifecta when the Port Authority awarded bridge construction contracts expected to generate $2.5 billion in economic activity: replacing the Goethals Bridge, raising the Bayonne Bridge and resurfacing the Outerbridge Crossing. The agency sees these projects spawning upward of 5,000 construction jobs and $600 million in wages.

Lauryn Hill – LOSER
Her sentencing was postponed, but she still garnered a bunch of bad press for failing to pay back taxes, and then failing to pay the promised restitution. Will she claim she was miseducated about how the tax code works?
