Position: Director, Ernst & Young

Key role: Lead efforts around the development of new business relationships with both commercial and financial clients throughout the Northeast.

Goals for this role: To expand Ernst & Young's footprint throughout the Northeast region by educating prospective clients on the depth and breadth of EY's capabilities.

Previous jobs: Served as finance co-chairman for Christie for Governor, and was the New Jersey finance chairman for the Romney for President campaign. Prior experience also includes working at Goldman Sachs as participating managing director and served as CEO at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg Specialists, which was later acquired by Goldman Sachs.

Key Strengths: Broad experience in the financial, political and business development world, along with the ability to motivate people to accomplish their goals.

Career High: Being named managing director at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg in 1995, at the age of 31.

Next: Being an integral part of taking EY's Northeast presence to new heights.

Challenges: Unlike prior roles, there is no "report card" at the end of every day. Learning to take a step back and not seek the "instant gratification" — positive or negative — at each day's end that I was used to as a trader.

After Hours: Spending time with my wife and five children, and rooting for my favorite teams — the New York Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals.
