Hackensack UMC, TerraCycle announce partnership

By ,

Hackensack University Medical Center announced Wednesday it will partner with recycling pioneer TerraCycle, of Princeton, to convert difficult-to-recycle items such as keyboards and mice, diaper packaging, chip bags, and writing utensils into eco-friendly consumer products and industrial applications.

Hackensack said in an announcement the partnership is the latest step for the hospital in its strategy to reduce the use of plastics, reduce and recycle solid waste, prevent pollution of valuable natural resources, and conserve energy and water.
