Benaroya has served as executive chairman of the board since September 2011, and has served as Kid Brands’ chairman of the board since January 2008. In a news release, the company said it intends to appoint a nonexecutive chairman of the board, though Benaroya will continue to serve as chairman until his successor is appointed, and is expected to continue to serve as a board member thereafter.
