Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

Orbcomm, which specializes in machine-to-machine communications and solutions, said in a release that MobileNet develops data solutions for the heavy equipment and railroad industries, while GlobalTrak is an information services company that uses satellite and cellular communications networks to work with military, international, government and commercial customers. Orbcomm will acquire GlobalTrak from parent company System Planning Corp.

Orbcomm said in an announcement it expects to close on the MobileNet deal within 30 days, and GlobalTrak in the second quarter.
