New York-based Ernst & Young LLP, which has a New Jersey office in the Iselin section of Woodbridge, announced today that Todd Christie has joined the firm's Northeast practice markets team as a director.

Christie, the brother of Gov. Chris Christie, will lead efforts around the development of new business relationships with both commercial and financial clients throughout the tristate area, and work with public entities in the New York area, according to a news release announcing the move.

NJBIZ had previously reported in its Grapevine column that Christie was exploring opportunities at Ernst.

Christie's experience includes working on the Chris Christie and Mitt Romney political campaigns, as well as working at Goldman Sachs and SLK Specialists, which was later acquired by Goldman. He also serves on the executive committee for Super Bowl XLVIII, which is coming to MetLife Stadium in 2014.
