Stevens, in Hoboken, received the workforce development grant late last month to provide training and education to Barnabas Health, the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, Hoboken University Medical Center and CentraState Health System.
The grant also will continue educational and employee development programs implemented by Stevens across the state over the past six years, and support internships for students within partner organizations.
The Stevens health care partnership works to build the state's health care education infrastructure by implementing long-term educational programs within partner New Jersey health care organizations, advancing the knowledge of health care providers and medical professionals in critical areas of management, including patient care, staff and organizational development, and technical skills.
The partnership received a $175,000 state grant in 2012 and a $250,000 state grant in 2011. With the latest financing, state investment in the partnership over the past six years surpasses $3 million.
