Bayer HealthCare, of Wayne, announced it received federal approval for its treatment of certain types of tumors.

In the announcement, Bayer said its Stivarga tablets, which are jointly produced by Bayer and Onyx Pharmaceuticals, of South San Francisco, Calif., were approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat certain gastrointestinal tumors.
