Verizon invested $627M in N.J. infrastructure in 2012

Verizon Communications Inc. announced Monday it invested more than $627 million in its New Jersey wireline networks and information technology infrastructure during 2012.

New York-based Verizon said in a news release the upgrades included broader rollout of its Fios service, which at the end of the year was available to nearly 2 million New Jersey residences and businesses.
