Eight real estate attorneys from Day Pitney have jumped to Fox Rothschild to open a new office in Morristown, according to an announcement Monday by Fox Rothschild.

Robert A. Klausner

The move will expand the footprint of Fox in New Jersey, which has three offices and more than 150 attorneys in the state.

"We have been looking to expand our transactional practice in northern New Jersey for quite a while and to find such a prestigious real estate group … is quite an exciting opportunity for Fox," said Stanley L. Goodman, managing partner of Fox's Roseland office, the announcement.

Attorneys Robert A. Klausner, Deirdre E. Moore, Christopher M. Rider, Grace J. Shin and Mat D. Carlson have been named partners, while Jennifer L. Solberg, Joshua J. Franklin and Corey D. Kaplan have joined as associates.

Klausner, who has more than 25 years of legal and business experience in the real estate industry, said he made the jump to Fox because it has a high profile in South Jersey and Pennsylvania, where many of his clients are located. He is looking forward to growing the company's profile in North Jersey and expanding the Morristown office, which will open in June.

"Fox has a lot of different practice groups in New Jersey with so much expertise," Klausner said. "That's something they didn't have quite as much of at Day. I'm really excited to take on the challenge."

Over the past 100 years, Fox Rothschild has grown to more than 500 lawyers in 17 offices throughout the United States.
