Acquisition helps Hertz drive new revenue records

Park Ridge-based Hertz Global Holdings Inc. today reported record-setting fourth-quarter and full-year revenue figures on the strength of its acquisition of Dollar Thrifty.

In an announcement, Hertz said it earned $2.3 billion in revenue in the fourth quarter, an increase of 15.1 percent over the year-ago period, including results from the Dollar Thrifty acquisition. Revenues for 2012 were up 8.7 percent overall, the company said.
