Acquisition powers stronger sales at Campbell

By ,

Campbell Soup Co. reported second quarter sales increased 10 percent, to $2.3 billion, in an earnings statement Friday.

Helping to power the sales growth was the acquisition of Bolthouse Farms Inc., of California, according to the announcement. Net earnings for the first half were $435 million, or $1.38 per share, compared with $470 million, or $1.45 per share, in the year-ago period, the Camden company reported.
