It looks like Atlantic City's Miss America dream is coming true.

The Thursday public schedule for Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno includes a "Miss America Announcement" for 10 a.m. at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. State Street first reported Tuesday that the state was pushing to bring the pageant back to the Jersey Shore, though it was unclear at the time how soon any announcement might come.

The pageant had been held in Atlantic City for more than 80 years before moving to Las Vegas in 2006.
