Each week in Face Time, NJBIZ editors approximate Chris Christie's mood and facial expressions based on the news.

FACE TIME: LOVED
The latest Quinnipiac poll gives Christie his highest rating ever, with majorities of men, women, Republicans, Democrats, whites, blacks and Hispanics approving. We bet aliens would approve too, if they were polled. Plus, the governor continues to rake in cash for his re-election.

Winners/Losers
Utility customers – WINNER

The BPU issued 100 improvement measures in response to that big storm — but it was Hurricane Irene in 2011, not Sandy in 2012. Still, the measures for utilities' preparedness, communications, infrastructure and more should alleviate fallout, and make customers light up.

Frank Lautenberg – LOSER

Poll results released on his 89th birthday showed 71 percent think his age might be a liability to do the work of a U.S. senator. Looking a bit cranky, Lautenberg suggested Cory Booker, who saves people from fires, might need to be spanked. Not a good way to start your last year as an octogenarian.

Jenkinson's – WINNER

The Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk bar has been fighting with town officials about a proposed midnight closing law. But last week the town and bar reached an agreement, which media reports say was expedited by Sandy. Now both sides can move forward in rebuilding the boardwalk, and their relationship.

Revel – LOSER

Steve Sweeney just came out and said it: surely someone else can run this place better. Billing itself "the East Coast's sexiest beachfront destination," Revel sent a release last week about how to raise the "passion level" at the resort on Valentine's Day. But it was Sweeney turning up the heat.

Prudential Center – WINNER

New Jersey didn't have a venue big enough for the coveted NFL Experience, but landed other high-profile events. Media Day, the first official public event of Super Bowl 2014 festivities, will be held at The Rock. Bringing hordes of journalists there is great exposure for the arena and Newark.

Tilman Fertitta – LOSER

The Golden Nugget billionaire played blackjack at Borgata and Revel last year — a violation of state regs for casino owners. Unaware of the ban, Fertitta last week agreed to pay a fine, but the $15,000 nugget is probably like the cost of a movie ticket to Fertitta.
