Two more New Jersey hospital systems are considering joining forces. Both Virtua Health, based in Marlton, and Kennedy Health System, based in Washington Township, confirmed they are in early discussions for potential collaborations.
The two systems issued identical statements, saying more details will be made available to stakeholders at a later time. There was no indication of the type of collaborations being explored, or if ownership discussions are taking place.
Both systems said in their statements that they "regularly explore collaboration opportunities with other organizations throughout the state and in the region," including "ideas that would benefit the residents of the communities we serve."
Neither system would provide any additional comment beyond the statement.
