    Life insurance acquisition, navigation solutions buyout, ingredients production deal.

    Prudential Insurance Co. of America, a subsidiary of Newark-based Prudential Financial Inc., announced Wednesday it has acquired the individual life insurance arm of Connecticut-based The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. for $615 million in cash to broaden its insurance product and distribution capabilities.

    Navigation solutions provider ALK Technologies Inc., in Princeton, today announced it has been acquired by transportation company Trimble, in Sunnyvale, Calif., to expand their logistics product portfolio. Terms were not disclosed.

    A subsidiary of nutritional ingredients manufacturer Innophos Holdings Inc., in Cranbury, announced Wednesday it has acquired mineral ingredients producer Triarco Industries Inc., in Wayne, for $46 million in cash and stock to expand its specialty foods business.
