Wonder if any Montgomery Township board of ed members are dreaming of someday being Fed chairman. They can, of course, point to Bernanke as an example, but this economic genius has a bit more on his résumé than two terms with the school board. From 1985 to 2002, Bernanke was a professor at Princeton University, after an earlier stint at Stanford. Educated at Harvard and MIT, Bernanke went from Princeton to the Federal Reserve System, serving in several roles before becoming chairman of its board of governors. Now, everyone hangs on his every word. "Short of being president, I don't know what's more powerful," one business leader summed up.
