    Military construction contract, movie theater acquisition, global office expansion.

    The construction services arm of Tetra Tech Inc., in Morris Plains, today announced it has been awarded a $15.7 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense to expand the Afghan Air Force Shindand Air Wing Squadron, in Afghanistan, by March 2014.

    Digital movie theater company Digital Cinema Destinations Corp., in Westfield, today announced it has agreed to acquire seven movie theaters in the southwestern market from Vista, Calif.-based UltraStar Cinemas through a joint venture partnership with Start Media LLC for $13 million.

    Architecture and engineering firm Paulus, Sokolowski & Sartor, in Warren Township, announced Tuesday it has formed a partnership with France-based construction company GSE Group to open offices in China, Brazil, Dubai and other global locations to provide on-the-ground support for existing U.S.-based clients expanding facilities overseas.

    Commercial real estate finance firm Meridian Capital Group LLC announced Tuesday its office in the Iselin section of Woodbridge negotiated a new 10-year, $14 million mortgage on a 344-unit multifamily community in Ocean Township.
