Did you miss out on our winners and losers feature in this week's paper? If you're reading this blog, you are a fan of sarcastic and juvenile writing, so that's probably a yes. If you're in withdrawal, though, never fear; here's a blog-exclusive list of winners and losers from our special top 100 issue.

George Norcross – Winner

Like a procrastinating college student, the governor took his time signing the bill that reshaped New Jersey's higher education landscape, though at least he didn't show up late, wearing a dirty pair of cargo pants and a crew-neck Henley shirt. And while he signed the measure in New Brunswick, Chris Christie's next stop was South Jersey, to get in a little ring-kissing time for the man who made it so.

John Wisniewski – Loser

So much for bipartisanship: Wisniewski, a Democrat, sponsored that higher ed bill, but was not invited to the ceremonial bill signing, instead getting snubbed while the likes of Steve Sweeney and Sheila Oliver showed up.

Atlantic City – Winner

Hard to put Revel in the winner's circle when it was desperate for millions more in breathing room from its creditors — but it got what it wanted, and hopefully will survive whatever excuse is used to justify poor numbers in August. (The Olympics, maybe?) Meanwhile, the announced Bass Pro Shops location here is more positive momentum for the long-reeling city.

Express Scripts – Loser

Since its $29 billion takeover of Medco, the company's on a spree of job cuts. After slashing 250 New Jersey jobs in July, it cut more than 300 additional U.S. positions. David Snow, who was Medco's CEO, was counting money and not available to comment.

Cory Booker – Winner

He didn't save anyone's life last week, but he did get an invitation to take a prominent speaking role at the Democrats' convention, just the latest bit of star power for Newark's mayor. But when will he finally parlay all that attention into seeking a different office?

Barnabas Health – Loser

The news that television personality Snooki has successfully procreated puts a black mark next to the human race in general. And the birth took place in Barnabas' Livingston hospital, meaning unlike his mother, this child is Jersey-born — which means we won't be able to blame New York in 20 years, when MTV begins filming "Jersey Shore Babies."

Face time: Chagrined

Apparently, there is a New Jersey Comeback; but unfortunately, there's a typo, and should read "New Jersey: Come back!" As is well known by now, the governor stayed so far away from this favorite catchphrase during last night's keynote that you may have thought it had a restraining order against him. Don't worry, comeback fans: I'm sure we'll see this move back onto the Boulevard of Compromise once town hall meetings get back under way.
