Is leadership about courage and vision, or something else?
In our latest Suite Escape feature, we asked four top business leaders-- Essex County Execuitve Joe DiVincenzo, Cooper University Hospital COO Adrienne Kirby, New Jersey Bankers CEO John McWeeney Jr. and Matrix New World Engineering Senior VP Dennis Petrocelli--to give three words to define leadership. Out of all the words they could have chosen, three of the four chose "courage/courageous" and "vision/visionary." I found it interesting that the same words were used, considering these four executives represent such different sectors: government, health care, banking and engineering.
Do you agree with them? What words would you use to define leadership?
