The completion of 69 commercial lease transactions in northern and central New Jersey by Matawan-based real estate developer Denholtz Associates in the fourth quarter of 2011 suggests that companies are increasingly willing to expand their space, according to its President Stephen Cassidy.
"We closed 2011 on a positive note with the signing of sizeable transactions with high-quality tenants," Cassidy said in prepared remarks. "We continue to be optimistic about the market in 2012."
Totaling 290,000 square feet of commercial space, Denholtz Associates' significant expansion and extension agreements included the sales group at Bridgewater Volvo, in Bridgewater, for 18,000 square feet; infrared imagining manufacturer Sofradir EC Inc., in Fairfield, 13,411 square feet; software developer Dax Technologies Corp., in Matawan, 7,150 square feet; and international publishing house H. Bauer Publishing, in Englewood Cliffs, 13,559 square feet.
Throughout the East Coast and Illinois, Denholtz completed 103 deals, totaling 454,400 square feet, during the fourth quarter.
