Merger takes off, radiology services, pharma acquisition.

The Berger Group of Cos., a global engineering firm in Morristown, merged Wednesday with Ranger International Services Group, an aviation, logistics and engineering services company in Greenville, S.C. As the renamed Louis Berger Services Inc., the firm's capabilities in government operations contracting, overhaul and maintenance, airfield operations and specialized technical services will expand.

St. Peter's University Hospital, a 478-bed teaching hospital in New Brunswick, announced Wednesday that Philadelphia-based radiology practice Diagnostic Imaging Inc., has begun delivering diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic radiology services. The hospital will offer a broader spectrum of care to the community, such as MRI-guided biopsies for breast cancer detection and radioembolization treatment for inoperable liver cancer.
D&R Communications, in Shrewsbury, announced Wednesday the acquisition of ePromotion provider Lathian Systems Inc., to become a multichannel pharmaceutical marketing agency as D&R Lathian. D&R Communications co-founder Reide Rosen, co-founder David Schoonmaker and Lathian founder Quang Pham have been named D&R Lathian partners.
