Genie's out of the bottle; new mortgages; distribution marriage dissolved.


North

Genie Energy Class B common stock began trading on the New York Stock Exchange Monday after being spun off from parent company IDT Corp., of Newark. IDT distributed Genie shares to its common stockholders Oct. 28 at the close of business.

Central

Meridian Capital Group LLC, in the Iselin section of Woodbridge, announced Tuesday a new mortgage of $3.9 million was arranged for a 68-unit fractured condominium complex in Iselin. A new mortgage of $3 million also was placed by Meridian on a 109-unit multifamily complex in Lindenwold.

Matheson Tri-Gas Inc., in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards, and ATMI Inc. have negotiated the termination of Matheson's rights for global distribution of ATMI's SDS and VAC products, the companies announced Monday. Matheson will receive a termination payment, and ATMI will immediately assume marketing and distribution for SDS and VAC technology in all countries except Japan.

Scarinci Hollenbeck announced Tuesday the addition of Evans, Osborne & Kreizman LLC to the Scarinci firm's Monmouth County office, as well as the relocation of that office from Wall to Ocean.
