NJBIZ hosted its 2011 CFO of the Year awards ceremony today at the Palace at Somerset Park, in the Somerset section of Franklin, recognizing financial executives at public and private companies, as well as nonprofits.
The winner for the top chief financial officer at a public company went to Tom Conforti, of Wyndham Worldwide Corp. The winner for private company with revenue of more than $50 million went to Joseph F. Purcell, of The Michaels Organization.
The award for private company with revenue of up to $50 million went to NeoStrata Co. Inc.'s Dennis P. Reilly. The winner in the small nonprofit category was Lynore DeSantis, from the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program. The winner in the large nonprofit category was Robert Glenning, of Hackensack University Medical Center. The best turnaround specialist was Bill Pereira, of IDT Corp., and the best growth manager award was given to Sid Garai, from ExpertPlan Inc.
More than 400 people attended the event. The keynote speaker was Gregory Besner, CFO of SecondMarket Holdings Inc.
