Pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis U.S., in Bridgewater, said Thursday its mobile app to help people with diabetes eat healthy is available on Apple Inc.’s iPhone.

The app, GoMeals, lets users look up the nutritional content of food and meals at restaurants and supermarkets. While geared for use by diabetics, Sanofi-Aventis said the app can be used by anyone who wants to the track nutritional content of food.

The foods listed on the app are drawn from the CalorieKing nutrition database, which features more than 25,000 foods, as well as menus from more than 200 restaurants. The app includes a GPS-based restaurant locator.

The app also includes a monitor for daily calorie intake and a pie chart showing a distribution of fats, carbohydrates and proteins.

GoMeals is available for download at the iTunes App store.
