Toys “R” Us Names North American President

Toys "R" Us, Inc. today announced that Ron Boire, who has been serving as the retailer’s president of U.S. operations, has been named president of Toys “R” Us-North America.

In addition to overseeing merchandising, marketing and operations for the Wayne-based company's 586 stores and Internet business in the United States, Boire will be responsible for Toys “R” Us’s 67 locations and Internet business in Canada. Monika Merz, president of Toys "R" Us-Canada, will report to Mr. Boire.

"I am extremely excited about the opportunity to facilitate even more collaboration between our U.S. and Canadian teams," Boire said.
