Joint ventures develop new pharma products, security software preps for tax season.

Emisphere Technologies Inc., in the Cedar Knolls section of Hanover, said Thursday that it entered a joint agreement with Australia’s Alchemia Ltd. to develop an oral form of anti-coagulant drug fondaparinux. The joint effort will use Emisphere’s drug delivery platform called Eligen Technology. Fondaparinux is a version of the off-patent Arixtra injection marketed by GlaxoSmithKline.  Alchemia’s marketing partner, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, filed an abbreviated new drug application for a generic version of the injection form of fondaparinux with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

StrikeForce Technologies Inc., in Edison, said Thursday its GuardedID keystroke encryption software is being promoted by Sweden’s Lavasoft as part of a tax season protection software bundle.

Nuvilex Inc., in Cherry Hill, said Thursday that its joint-venture partner, Legacy Biotechnologies Inc., began production of Reme-Flu. The product, a two-part flu remedy, is expected to be available for consumers within 30 days. Reme-Flu will be initially available through Nutralegacy.com.
