Solar Information Session - Solar United Neighbors (Allentown (N.J.) Co-op
Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Solar United Neighbors, a Washington, D.C. based 501(c)3 non-profit organization, announces formation of the Allentown (N.J.) Solar Co-op. The purpose of the co-op is to save money and make going solar easier, while building a network of solar supporters. The group is seeking participants and will host a free information meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at The Roost (Cream Ridge Golf Course) in Cream Ridge, NJ.
The purpose of the information session is to educate the community about solar and the co-op process. Residents from Allentown, Chesterfield, East Windsor, Hightstown, Millstone, Robbinsville, Roosevelt and Upper Freehold interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op website. Attendance at the "info session" is free and joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Once the group is large enough, Solar United Neighbors of New Jersey will help the co-op solicit competitive bids from area solar installers. Homeowners then have the option to purchase panels individually based on the installerís group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save off the cost of going solar and have guidance from experts at Solar United Neighbors. There is no obligation to join or participate in the information session or co-op.
