Description

The Latino Institute, Inc, a New Jersey based educational nonprofit organization is
presenting a two hour seminar entitled Doing Business with Cuba: Today and Tomorrow. The seminar
will be offered at the Robert Treat Conference Center in Newark, New Jersey on Thursday, November
14, 2013, starting at 9:00 a.m.

The program includes a keynote presentation by Philip Peters, a renowned expert on Cuban economic
issues. Mr. Peters will speak on the effects of the ongoing economic reforms in Cuba and the potential
of the new business models.

The seminar presenters will provide information on what goods and commodities the current U.S.
embargo on Cuba allows for sales to Cuba, and the intricate process it takes to market those goods.

Philip Peters, first traveled to Cuba in 1991 while serving as a State Department official. Since 1996 he
has traveled there regularly to carry out research and to lead visits, including assisting ten Congressional
delegations. His research covers a range of economic and other topics, and he has testified before
Congressional committees on issues in U.S. policy toward Cuba. He is the president of the Cuba Research
Center (CRC).
