Fourth Annual Ethical Leadership Conference - Ethics in Action: A Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility

When

Friday, Apr. 19, 2013
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Where

Newark Museum 49 Washington Street Newark, NJ 07102 Directions

Description

Rutgers Institute for Ethical Leadership will host its Fourth Annual Ethical Leadership Conference on April 19, 2013, to address ethical issues within Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Ethics is implicitly a part of any CSR strategy, but what have we learned over the last 40 years in this field? Arguably, many corporations already believe that they should do no harm, and act or are beginning to act accordingly. What are the exemplar corporations doing differently and creatively to improve civil society and their bottom line? This conference will explore the history of CSR and where the field is moving, utilizing academic and corporate expertise.

Confirmed Keynote Speakers:

Archie Carroll, Ph.D., Terry College of Business, University of Georgia, is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in CSR from the Institute of Management at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.

Timothy J. McClimon, Vice President, CSR, American Express and President of American Express Foundation – McClimon is the author of a widely-read corporate blog, CSR Now!, which highlights and engages readers into a dialogue of what is going on in CSR today. American Express, in its fifth consecutive year, is ranked as one of the world’s most ethical companies by Ethisphere Institute.
